Why?
Velo ran a well-being event, encouraging the team to run, ride or even kayak. The event inspired the group to leave their desks and start conversations about well-being. But, unfortunately, as an agency, we didn’t have the answers, and work meant we kept stalling on moving forward.
How?
A “Live Well at Velo” event was born, inviting three well-being experts to speak on avoiding burn-out, sleep and nutrition, culminating in a mindful cocktail-making session to unite the team. Advice, including sleep tips, and healthy meal plans, expanded the messaging beyond the day.
So what?
Gaining a higher understanding of the importance of sleep, stress management, anxiety, and work-life/balance shapes the agency’s standard policies with the support managers provide. Velo’s well-being activity differentiates us in attracting and retaining talent, and staff satisfaction and loyalty are lifting, leading to record engagement levels of 81%. Individual team members have made changes in their life, and 100% of the team have asked for follow-up sessions.
